Giving young people the tools to express their creativity and the platform to speak their minds is what MNN's Youth Media Center does best.
Our free media production training gives New York City youth (ages 14-24) the tools to create media, share stories and make an impact on their local communities.
MNN's Youth Media Center offers courses and workshops to participants at a variety of skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Every Tuesday through Saturday our facility is filled with participants who are eager to get involved in the community and make media that matters.
Our center is a place for learning. If you have skills and knowledge to share with our youth, we'd love to collaborate. Most requested workshop topics include: leadership, team building, community organizing, public speaking, and on-camera interviewing skills.
Think your workshop would be a good fit for MNN's Youth Media Center participants? Tell us about it using the form on the right.
See media created by MNN's Youth Media Center participants on our YouTube channel or watch The Youth Channel weeknights at 6pm on MNN4 (FiOS 36, RCN 85, TWC 67 & 1998 or streaming live) and on MNN's HD Community Channel (TWC 1993 or streaming live).
